Minoton

A speed sculpt of the 'Minoton' creature from Sinbad and The Eye of the Tiger (1977)

Continuing a series of digitally recreating creatures and characters from movies I was fond of growing up. This was, of course, a Ray Harryhausen creation, although shots vary in the movie between the stop motion puppet and an actor (Peter Mayhew no less) in a suit. I stuck to the puppet more for reference, as they look quite different.

This was modelled entirely in Zbrush, and then textured in Substance 3d Painter, then rigged, animated and rendered in 3ds max with V-ray. Probably a couple of days work in total.
